Bridal Hair & Makeup at Hever Castle

My job is a pleasure everytime I meet a bride at a trial and Sarah's vision of hair and makeup, was just my style.

I was recommended to Sarah by her lovely sister and maid of honor, Helen, who was given the responsibility of searching for a hair and makeup artist to suit what Sarah was looking for. Luckily for me an email from Sarah landed in my inbox and following a few emails, her date was in my diary. I did Sarahs trial at her house on a cold but sunny Saturday and I remember it well as the sun shone into her kitchen making it feel like a summers day.

Sarah has porcelain skin, almost untouched by the sun (a very good factor 50 wearer) and makeup wasnt in her morning routine, so we went for a very natural, unstated look with a flick of eyeshadow with eyelash extensions and a nude lipstick to finish the look. Sarahs hair was long and silky, we ended up going with a low bun so she could have matching flowers from her bouquet in her hair.

Sarah' and Ajits wedding was days before Christmas and luckily all of their suppliers and guests could still make it without any Covid obstacles in the way. What made Sarah and Ajits wedding even more special was that Sarah was pregnant, she looked glowing and had the most gorgeous flowing dress, which sat perfectly on her bump.

I arrived early in the morning to set up for when Sarah arrived, the room was big and posed a 4 posted bed, with lots of space for the bridal party to get ready.

Sarah's mum was first up in my makeup chair, like Sarah she wasn't a daily makeup wearer so we went for a natural, feature enhancing look with a lip colour to suit her, afterwards I did Sarah's hair and makeup and just as I was finishing Sarahs hair, the florist arrived and had the most beautiful flower clips, they were easy to position into Sarah's low bun and finished the look perfectly.

Sarah's sister was up next and had a silver/purple sequined dress to wear, so I matched the colour with a shimmery eye shadow and paired it with a red lipstick which gave it a gorgeous Christmassy feel.
